Igniting a Flame
This image is what comes to me when learning about how Carrie Crossman, founder of The Alula, a Clinical Emotional Freedom Technique practitioner (aka Tapping) helps her clients move through their emotional traumas to embody a more relaxed, secure version of themselves. To be more grounded, to be more present. Isn’t that what we all want?
How does tapping work? Under the guidance of a practitioner, when one is being drawn into an emotional trauma experience, the tapping lets the body know that it is safe so the individual can work through that trauma safely to release the pain point. Once learned, this technique can be used as often as one needs. No need for repeat visits to the practitioner.
What sort of benefits can tapping bring? Well, there are so many and Carrie and I touch upon them here in our interview. But, to list a few: empowerment, sense of peace, releasing trauma, prenatal nervous system regulation. All of these things then can lead us to actually igniting a flame of newness, if we so desire.
